Amasa B. Campbell’s estate was handled by the Spokane law firm of Wakefield and Witherspoon. Helen Campbell was the only child of mining magnate Amasa B. Campbell and his wife, Grace. Helen Campbell attended school at Brunot Hall, a private girls school in Spokane, and studied in Paris. She married William W. Powell in 1917. Upon her mother’s death in 1924, Mrs. Powell donated the Cutter-designed Campbell home to the Eastern Washington State Historical Society for use as a museum.
